Quetta Deputy Commissioner Launches Aggressive Drive to Revitalize Education and Activate Dormant Schools

Quetta, February 18, 2026 – Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini underscored that improving the education sector is a top priority for the district administration, stressing that no negligence will be tolerated in this critical area.
Under his leadership, a meeting of the District Education Group was convened, attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Quetta Muhammad Anwar Kakar, district education officers (male and female), the district finance officer, and other relevant DDOs. The session provided an in-depth review of educational affairs across the district, including school performance, teacher attendance, and availability of essential facilities.
Mehrullah Badini instructed officials to enhance the effectiveness of teaching processes in all institutions and implement practical measures to ensure consistent student attendance. A key focus was placed on reviving non-functional schools, with detailed discussions on strategies to make them fully operational. He directed relevant authorities to promptly identify the reasons behind dormant schools and implement phased plans to activate them, thereby expanding access to quality education for more children.
The meeting concluded with the Deputy Commissioner urging all officers to adopt a coordinated strategy to achieve set targets and improve overall educational outcomes in Quetta.
