Islamabad / Bannu, February 21, 2026: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Robina Khalid, strongly condemned the terrorist attack on security forces in Bannu.
She praised the professional skill, vigilance, and sacrifice of the security personnel, noting that their efforts prevented a major tragedy. Senator Khalid described the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Shehzad Gul Faraz and Sepoy Karamat Shah as historic and said their sacrifices will not go in vain, emphasizing that the entire nation stands with the families of the martyrs.
Senator Khalid added that Pakistan maintains a firm stance against terrorism and will not compromise on peace and security. She stressed the need for effective and sustained measures to dismantle terrorist networks.
She concluded by praying for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience and resilience for their families.
