LAHORE, March 7: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully reunited a missing woman with her family through the use of technology and social media.
According to officials, a 50-year-old woman was found in Lahore’s Model Town division, but her identity could not initially be established. The PSCA’s “Mera Pyara” team recorded her interview and shared the video on social media to help identify her and locate her relatives.
After watching the video, the woman’s cousin contacted PSCA authorities and identified her as Talat Sultana, who had been missing since January 2026.
Following her recovery, the woman was first shifted to Edhi Home Lahore and later transferred to Edhi Home Multan. Through continued efforts by the PSCA “Mera Pyara” team, her identity was verified and arrangements were made to reunite her with her family.
A PSCA spokesperson said that after completing all necessary verification procedures, the woman was safely handed over to her relatives.
The spokesperson added that the “Mera Pyara” team continues to work actively to reunite missing persons with their families by using modern technology and social media. Citizens were urged to report missing individuals by calling the Emergency Helpline 15 and selecting option 3 to enable timely assistance from the PSCA team.
