GWADAR, March 16 — Pakistan Coast Guards seized 441 kilograms of high-quality hashish during an intelligence-based operation in the Jiwani area of Gwadar.
Officials said the narcotics were hidden in a pickup vehicle and were likely intended for smuggling abroad through sea routes.
Authorities estimated the international market value of the seized drugs at around $24.31 million. The vehicle has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
The operation is part of continued efforts to curb drug trafficking along Pakistan’s coastal belt.
