Islamabad, 17 March 2026: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, met newly appointed Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Arshad Majeed Mohmand, in Islamabad.
Secretary Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Zafar Hassan, Chief Commissioner Afghan Refugees Ismatullah Shah, and Senator Niaz Ahmad were also present.
The minister congratulated the new chief secretary on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to promote development and maintain law and order in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Engineer Amir Muqam reaffirmed that the federal government, under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, will extend full support for the development and stability of the region.
