ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of implementing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in full and avoiding actions that could further escalate regional tensions.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar expressed these views during a telephone conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The two leaders reviewed the latest regional developments and stressed restraint, dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
Dar also underscored the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, stability and constructive diplomacy. Both foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest.
