Governor commends BUMHS’s initiative for fulfilling need of experts in health sector
QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has appreciated the Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS) for taking a commendable initiative for fulfilling the important need of professional experts in the health sector.
He said that modern training would be imparted to some 1,000 persons during the current year. After completion of course, they would also be sent abroad.
The Governor stated so while speaking on occasion of his visit to the BUMHS on Tuesday. He inspected the process of admission tests being conducted at BUMHS for admissions in nursing, medical labs, tental and surgery and different other disciplines.
Also present on the occasion were Vice Chancellor of BUMHS, Professor Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Lehri, Principal Secretary to Governor, Hashim Khan Ghilzai, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Farida Kakar and Registrar.
The Governor regretfully pointed out that unfortunately safarish has become routine in the society, but there’s no room for the same in many sectors.
He said that the promotion of trend of unfair safarish harms the institutional performance. It also puts our collective future in danger and creates fears about social justice and economic equality, he added.
He stressed that the solution to the issues of safarish, bribery and cheating in the examinations lies in following merit.
