Extensive briefing to members assembly on health: We are determined to transform our health system, pledges Bakht Muhammad Kakar
QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakar has stated that we are determined to transform our health system in the province.
He also vowed to resolve all the issues being confronted by the health sector including attendance of the doctors and other health staff by improving system.
He expressed the hope that there would be marked improvement in our health system following the endeavours being made by us.
The Minister for Health was speaking at the assembly forum during briefing session about the health department on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, other provincial ministers, parliamentary secretaries and members of assembly belonging to the treasury and Opposition benches were in attendance at the briefing.
Bakht Muhammad Kakar thanked all the members of assembly on giving good suggestions for improving the state of health affairs in the province.
He said that we worked despite three months strike (of the doctors and other health staff) in hospitals. He said that no doubt, the people, ministers and Chief Minister have lot of expectations from us. He believed that improvement would be brought in the healthcare system.
He also pointed out that the equipments have not been purchased in the province for last 8-10 years. He said that the equipments of Rs. 30 billion are insufficient for our province.
He on the occasion stressed that the cooperation of members of assembly is needed for improving health department.
Earlier, the Provincial Ministers and other members of assembly talked about the situation of health department and its performance.
They were of the strong view that there is a need to bring marked improvement in the healthcare facilities.
