Sindh Will Not Accept Any Encroachment on Indus River: Muhammad Khan Junejo
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Former MNA and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Muhammad Khan Junejo has strongly opposed any unlawful canal construction on the Indus River, stating that Sindh’s survival depends on its natural flow.
Speaking with Journalists at Tando Adam Press Club, Junejo launched a scathing attack on the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), claiming that the public will no longer allow them to operate freely. He warned that any illegal attempts to divert the Indus River would be met with fierce resistance across Sindh.
He emphasized that maintaining the natural flow of the Indus is crucial for Sindh’s existence. Criticizing the PPP, Junejo alleged that their protests were merely for show and that they were actually working to protect their own political interests rather than fighting for the people’s rights.
He further stated that the controversy over canals has put PPP’s future at risk, as people are losing trust in the party. He added that if Pir Pagara decides, not only will the illegal canals be stopped, but the current government could also collapse.
Reaffirming GDA’s commitment to protecting Sindh’s resources, Junejo asserted that the alliance would continue its struggle for the rights of the people, vowing not to allow any encroachment on Sindh’s assets.
