QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Communications and Works (C&W), Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa has emphasized that in order to meet the challenges of the modern era, it is crucial to align the C&W Department with contemporary demands and move towards digitalization.
He was presiding over a meeting regarding the digitalization of all ongoing and completed development projects, human resources, and assets under the department here the other day.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Communications and Works, Lal Jan Jaffar, Project Director, Federal Projects Dr. Sajjad Baloch, along with other senior officials of the department.
The Minister sought comprehensive and detailed information about all ongoing and completed development projects, human resources, and assets under the department for the purpose of digitalization.
He stated that in order to compete with the world and move in step with modern advancements, it is essential to bring the department up to date with modern practices.
He instructed that all machinery, workforce, assets, and especially all development projects initiated in the last five years-whether completed or still in progress-must be fully documented and digitalized using software. The aim is to make complete information about these projects accessible to the public with just one click, enabling citizens to stay informed about the progress of development projects in their districts from the comfort of their homes.
The Provincial Minister further stated that the ultimate goal is the development and prosperity of the province. It is a top priority of the government to ensure that the people of the province are fully informed about how and where public funds are being spent.
