Maintains development partnership between federation and Balochistan unavoidable; Federal Minister for Planning assures cooperation in development projects of province
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has emphasized that the development resources be provided to the province from federation on the basis of its backwardness.
He also emphasized that the development partnership between federation and Balochistan is unavoidable.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti was speaking to the Federal Minister for Planning, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, with whom he met in Islamabad on Tuesday morning.
During the course of meeting, the formulation and implementation on the federal development projects for the upcoming financial year 2025-26 was discussed.
The Chief Minister conducted detail briefing on the priorities of Balochistan in the federal public sector development programme (PSDP).
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that development of Balochistan is part of national priorities for 100 percent allocation is essential.
He underlined the need to provide development resources for the province on basis of its backwardness.
He said that transparency and pace is priority in the development projects. On the other hand, Federal Minister Planning assured wholehearted cooperation of the federal government in development projects of the province.
