Balochistan’s budget for next financial year likely to be presented on June 20
Volume of upcoming budget expected to exceed Rs. 1 trillion. Education sector is expected to receive the highest allocation
QUETTA: Balochistan’s budget for the next financial year 2025-26 is most likely to be presented on June 20, 2025.
According to the sources of Provincial Finance Department, the total volume of the upcoming budget is expected to exceed Rs. 1 trillion.
The Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani would present the province’s budget in the provincial assembly.
The sources of Finance Department informed that the preparations for the budget are in their final stages.
It has been learnt that the education sector is likely to receive the highest allocation. Similar to the current fiscal year, the upcoming budget would also be a surplus budget.
The non-development budget for the upcoming fiscal year is expected to be around Rs. 800 billion, while the Provincial Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) is likely to be around Rs. 250 billion.
An allocation of Rs. 170 billion is expected for the Education Department, and Rs. 100 billion each for Health and Law & Order.
Salaries of provincial government employees are expected to be increased in line with the federal government’s announcement.
