QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions stands as a shining example for all time of humanity, justice, principled living, and the struggle against oppression.
He said that this month teaches us selflessness, compassion, and standing with the oppressed.
In his message, issued here on Saturday, the Chief Minister called on the public to uphold love, tolerance, and mutual respect for the peaceful and meaningful observance of the 9th and 10th of Muharram. He emphasized that Muharram, particularly the Day of Ashura, provides practical lessons in great sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, and standing firm in the path of truth and justice.
The Chief Minister added that foolproof security arrangements have been made to maintain peace and order in the province during the days of Muharram.
The district administration, police, Levies, Frontier Corps, and other law enforcement agencies are on high alert.
He appealed to religious scholars, preachers, all schools of thought, and mourners to promote Muslim unity and demonstrate harmony so that these days may pass peacefully and with reverence.
