Provide Dashcam and Tracker Access to Motorway Police: DIG Syed Fareed Ali

Lahore (Special Report):
A meeting between transport owners and the Motorway Police was held at the Motorway Police Headquarters, Lahore, under the chairmanship of DIG Central Zone, Syed Fareed Ali.

During the meeting, DIG Fareed Ali directed transporters to install dashcams and tracking devices in all passenger buses and grant live access to the Motorway Police.
He warned that buses without dashcams will not be permitted to enter the motorways and highways.

The DIG further instructed that fitness certificates must be visibly displayed on vehicle windshields, and fog lights should be checked and made functional before the fog season to ensure road safety.

He emphasized that picking up or dropping passengers outside designated bus stops on national highways is strictly prohibited, stating:

> “There will be zero tolerance for pick-and-drop outside bus stops on highways. Strict and immediate action will be taken against violators.”

DIG Fareed Ali also warned that illegal use of CNG in small vehicles is strictly prohibited, and violators will face stern action.

He said that several complaints had been received from passengers and directed that bus staff should behave courteously with travelers, adding that immediate and effective action will be taken in case of misconduct.

The DIG further directed officers deployed at toll plazas and movie points to conduct surprise ticket inspections.

According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, DIG Central Zone Syed Fareed Ali also listened to the issues of transporters and issued orders for their prompt resolution.
