ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 :
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has approved a massive promotion drive within the force, elevating 201 constables to the rank of head constable, in what has been described as the largest single batch of promotions in recent years.
A notification to this effect was issued on Friday following the IG’s formal approval. Earlier this week, eleven sub-inspectors were promoted to the rank of inspector, while in the current month, 62 head constables were promoted to ASI and four inspectors to DSP.
According to the police spokesperson, the large-scale promotions are part of IG Rizvi’s ongoing policy to recognize merit, boost morale, and ensure career progression across all ranks of the Islamabad Police.
> “Promotions and welfare of police personnel remain among the top priorities of the IG Islamabad,”
the spokesperson said, adding that the decision has created a wave of joy and motivation among officers and personnel.
Police officials expressed gratitude to IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi for the unprecedented number of promotions, saying the move has restored confidence and enthusiasm within the force.
