FIA Balochistan Arrests Fake Assistant Director Involved in Fraud and Impersonation

Quetta, October 18: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan Zone has arrested a fraudster posing as an FIA Assistant Director during a joint operation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Circle and the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Quetta.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the accused, identified as Bashir Ahmed, was impersonating an FIA Assistant Director to extort money from government offices and officials. The suspect was apprehended during a raid near the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Quetta.

During the operation, FIA teams recovered a fake appointment letter, counterfeit documents, two mobile phones, Pakistani and Afghan passports, two ATM cards, and a 9mm pistol from the accused.

The arrested individual has been shifted to the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Quetta for further investigation. The FIA confirmed that a comprehensive inquiry is underway to determine the extent of his network and possible accomplices involved in the fraudulent activities.
