A key review meeting of the District Education Group was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, to assess the performance of schools across the district. The meeting was attended by District Education Officers (male and female), District Finance Officer, Assistant Commissioners, all relevant DDOs, RTSM, UNICEF representatives, and other officials.

During the meeting, the monthly education report was presented, highlighting absenteeism among teaching and non-teaching staff. Updates were also provided on salaries, postings, and ongoing academic and extracurricular activities of recently hired contract teachers.

Deputy Commissioner Badini issued strict instructions that all private schools in Quetta that have not yet completed registration must do so by the end of 2025. Failure to comply will result in legal action and closure of unregistered schools. He emphasized that no unregistered school will be allowed to operate going forward, and the district administration will continue taking measures to improve education quality and transparency.

He added that education is a critical sector and warrants special attention to ensure effective governance and improved learning outcomes.
