ANF’s Major Nationwide Crackdown: 37 Kg of Narcotics Worth Over PKR 29.7 Million Seized — Three Including a Woman Arrested

In a major countrywide anti-narcotics operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out five successful raids in different cities of Pakistan, arresting three suspects including one woman and recovering a total of 37 kilograms of drugs worth over PKR 29.7 million in the international market.

According to ANF spokesperson, the operations were part of the ongoing “War Against Drug Trafficking”, targeting both international and domestic smuggling networks.


International Drug Interdiction Operations

1. At a courier office on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, ANF recovered 8 kilograms of ice (methamphetamine) soaked in clothes from a parcel destined for New Zealand.

2. In another raid on the same road, 2.6 kilograms of heroin concealed in face masks was recovered from a parcel intended for London.

 

Domestic Drug Interdiction Operations

1. On Pindi Pul–Bannu Road, Kohat, ANF seized 6 kilograms of hashish from the possession of a woman.

2. In Clifton, Karachi, 400 grams of ice hidden inside a water cooler was recovered, and two suspects were arrested.

3. In Josak, District Kech (Balochistan), ANF recovered 20 kilograms of heroin hidden in bushes.

All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 (CNSA-1997) and investigations are underway.
