ANF Cracks Major Inter-Provincial Drug Network — 144 Kilograms of Hashish Seized in Khyber Operation
Independent Report
Peshawar, Nov 5: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully busted a major inter-provincial drug trafficking network, seizing a large consignment of 144 kilograms of hashish during an intelligence-based operation in District Khyber.
According to the ANF spokesperson, on November 4, 2025, the ANF Police Station Regional Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (RD KP) received credible intelligence regarding a narcotics consignment temporarily hidden under rocky terrain at a dumping site in District Khyber, intended for smuggling to Punjab under the cover of darkness.
As per intelligence reports, the consignment belonged to a Bara-based Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) consisting of notorious smugglers from the Afridi tribe. Acting promptly on the information, the ANF team conducted a swift and precise raid, recovering four propylene bags containing 144 kilograms of hashish — packed in 120 packets weighing 1,200 grams each.
An FIR has been lodged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigation is underway to trace the network’s broader linkages across provinces.
The ANF spokesperson stated that the quick and efficient action based on credible intelligence demonstrates ANF’s strong resolve to ensure a Drug-Free Pakistan, reinforcing the Force’s commitment to eliminating the menace of narcotics at both national and inter-provincial levels.
