Pakistan Recognized as Frontline State in Global War Against Drugs — UN Commends ANF’s Remarkable Seizures
Islamabad:
The United Nations has lauded Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for its outstanding success in combating international drug networks. UN Representative Trols Vester declared that “Pakistan cannot be left alone in this fight,” noting that the country seized over 365 metric tons of narcotics and precursor chemicals during the past year.
The statement highlights Pakistan’s pivotal role as a frontline state in global counter-narcotics operations, particularly in curbing drug trafficking routes emerging from Afghanistan.
