Security Forces achieved a significant counter-terrorism success in Kurram District after eliminating 23 terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored militant outfit Al-Khawarij during two precise, intelligence-driven engagements on 19 November.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was launched following confirmed intelligence about the presence of Khawarij militants. Troops swiftly engaged the identified hideout, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, 12 terrorists were successfully neutralized.

Building on further intelligence indicating the presence of another group in the same general area, Security Forces initiated a second intelligence-based operation. This swift action resulted in the elimination of 11 additional Khawarij, effectively dismantling the hostile network operating in the vicinity.

Sanitization efforts are underway to ensure that no Indian-sponsored terrorist elements remain in hiding, as Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”—approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—continues with full momentum across the country.

In its concluding remarks, ISPR lauded the bravery and dedication of Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, emphasizing that their unwavering commitment, sacrifices, and professionalism remain the backbone of peace and stability in the country. The nation, the statement added, stands proud of its forces as they continue their mission to eradicate foreign-supported terrorism from Pakistan once and for all.
