The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has carried out five successful counter-narcotics operations across multiple cities, arresting four suspects and recovering 329.22 kilograms of drugs valued at more than PKR 346.1 million, according to an official spokesperson.
International Interdiction
At Allama Iqbal International Airport, ANF personnel intercepted a passenger traveling to Dubai and recovered 1.226 kilograms of heroin concealed in his possession. The individual was taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
Domestic Interdiction Operations
In a series of coordinated domestic operations:
Hyderabad (National Highway): ANF recovered 36 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle near a shopping mall and arrested the suspect.
Peshawar (Industrial Estate Road): A targeted search of a vehicle led to the recovery of 10 kilograms of heroin, resulting in the arrest of the accused.
Bhakkar (Hussaini Chowk): ANF seized 9 kilograms of crystal ice from the belongings of a suspect.
Loralai (Killi Sharan, Alizai District): A major recovery was made when 273 kilograms of heroin was found hidden in nearby bushes.
Legal Action
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and investigations have commenced to dismantle the networks involved.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the force remains fully committed to combating drug trafficking and curbing the menace of narcotics across the country through sustained intelligence-driven operations.
