KHUZDAR, Nov 25 — A major breakthrough has been achieved in resolving prolonged unannounced electricity load-shedding and billing issues in Khuzdar. Under the leadership of Opposition Leader Balochistan Assembly, Mir Aziz Zehri, a meeting was held at his residence between the All-Parties Citizens Action Committee Khuzdar and K-Electric (KESCo) officials.
A new electricity schedule was agreed upon, promising a significant reduction in load-shedding hours and better coordination on billing and meter issues. Commissioner Kalat Division, Dr. Tufail Baloch, attended the meeting and instructed KESCo to prioritize legitimate public concerns and ensure an immediate and permanent solution.
Mir Yunus Aziz Zehri emphasized that electricity provision to residential and commercial areas is a fundamental right, urging KESCo to respect public sentiment and fully restore the recently functional Khairao feeder. The Citizens Action Committee stressed strict enforcement of the new schedule, with signed minutes to be sent to KESCo Head Office to guarantee compliance.
