QUETTA, Nov 28, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini chaired a key meeting to resolve the ongoing gas pressure drop in the city. All Assistant Commissioners and representatives of SSGC attended the session.
Officials highlighted that the primary cause of low gas pressure is the excessive use of compressors in households and markets. The Deputy Commissioner directed immediate action against the sale, installation, and unauthorized use of compressors. He instructed Assistant Commissioners to form special teams in their jurisdictions to continue rigorous enforcement operations, while SSGC was asked to activate field teams and coordinate joint operations.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that fair gas distribution is a government priority and that the zero-tolerance policy against compressor misuse will be strictly enforced. He noted that citizens, especially during cooking hours in winter, are facing difficulties due to low gas pressure, and all possible measures will be taken to resolve the issue promptly.
