Quetta, December 7:
The Democratic Watan Party has strongly criticized federal policies and political experiments, saying they have left Balochistan mired in insecurity, economic stagnation, and deprivation. The party’s central spokesperson said decades of externally imposed policies and experimental governance have adversely affected the province’s development and stability.
Despite Balochistan’s rich natural resources, federal mismanagement and lack of local empowerment have prevented residents from benefiting fully. Rising unemployment, inadequate healthcare, poor education, and lack of drinking water exacerbate citizens’ hardships, while local youth are often overlooked in large projects, deepening feelings of marginalization.
The spokesperson stressed that political instability, arbitrary federal interventions, and artificial alliances have undermined public mandates and further complicated provincial governance. He urged the federal government to cease political experiments, deliver constitutional rights, ensure economic justice, and empower local administrations.
He added that Balochistan is a key pillar of Pakistan’s integrity, and the nation’s overall progress is impossible without addressing the province’s legitimate demands. The Democratic Watan Party called for immediate action to restore governance, security, and equitable development across Balochistan, ensuring citizens receive the rights and opportunities they deserve.
