Islamabad — Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid, in her message on International Human Rights Day, emphasized that the day serves as a reminder of equality, human dignity, and social justice for all. She said that every individual, regardless of race, color, religion, or language, is entitled to fundamental human rights.
Senator Rubina Khalid stated that freedom of expression, the right to participate in decision-making, and access to justice are the foundations of a strong and responsible society. She added that the protection of human rights is achieved not only through individual commitment but through collective national effort.
The BISP Chairperson highlighted that the programme is providing financial assistance to nearly 10 million households across Pakistan without any discrimination. Through initiatives such as Benazir Kafaalat, education stipends, nutrition support, and skill-development schemes, BISP is promoting economic empowerment, education, health, and employment opportunities for deserving families.
Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed that BISP will continue its sincere and dedicated efforts for the welfare and uplift of marginalized communities while upholding the principles of fundamental human rights.
