Turbat, Dec 13: Assistant Commissioner Turbat Muhammad Hanif Kibzai
has said that providing relief to the public from rising inflation is
among the government’s top priorities. He stressed that price
stability of essential commodities will be ensured through strict
monitoring and enforcement.
He made these remarks while presiding over an important meeting of the
Price Control Committee, held to review measures aimed at stabilizing
prices of daily-use items in the city. The meeting focused on ensuring
affordable rates for essential food items and preventing profiteering.
The meeting was attended by Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Turbat
Shoaib Nasir, Deputy Director Industries and Commerce Fahad Rahim,
In-charge Price Control Committee Niaz Ahmed, representatives of
Anjuman-e-Tajran Turbat, Poultry Farms Association President Haji
Karim Zehri, Hafiz Ibrahim, representative of fish sellers Rehmat,
along with other relevant stakeholders.
After detailed consultations, official prices were fixed for key
commodities including chicken, vegetables, bread, ration items, and
fish. Assistant Commissioner Kibzai issued clear directives that
strict implementation of the notified price list would be ensured,
warning that violators would face action without discrimination.
He further instructed the Price Control Committee to remain fully
active and conduct regular market inspections to closely monitor
prices. At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the
trader community assured full cooperation with the administration and
pledged to adhere to the officially approved price lists.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to protecting
consumers’ rights and ensuring fair
pricing across Turbat’s markets.
