Gwadar, Dec 20:
Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering Gwadar Division, Momin Baloch, inspected Akara Dam following recent rainfall. He informed that around 200 acre-feet of water is currently stored in the dam, equivalent to nearly one foot depth, which is sufficient for only about 20 days of usage. He added that rainwater from the dam’s catchment and surrounding areas may enter the reservoir by night. A final and accurate assessment of water levels will be conducted on Saturday morning to confirm the actual situation. Engineer Sajid Sakhi from the Public Health Engineering Department accompanied him during the inspection.
