QUETTA: Armed robbers looted Rs35 million from a private bank in the Hazarganji area within the jurisdiction of Shalkot police station, officials said on Monday. According to police sources, the suspects entered the bank during business hours, held staff at gunpoint, and escaped with the cash.
Investigators have indicated that a woman may have been involved in facilitating the robbery. During the initial probe, police arrested the bank’s security guard on suspicion of collusion with the robbers. Authorities said the guard is being interrogated to determine his role and possible connections with the suspects.
Police teams are examining CCTV footage, call data records, and other forensic evidence to trace the remaining culprits. Raids are underway at various locations, while officials stated that further details will be shared upon completion of the investigation.
