Karachi, Dec 23: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Monday announced that a major Christmas celebration will be held at Governor House on December 25, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to religious freedom for minorities. Addressing a Christmas ceremony at Governor House, he said the third Christmas cake had been cut at the venue, with full participation from minority communities.
The governor cited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision, stating that all minorities in Pakistan are free to celebrate their religious festivals. Christian community leaders attended the event in large numbers, with the governor joining them in the cake-cutting ceremony.
Commenting on foreign affairs, Tessori said Pakistan had achieved significant diplomatic success under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, adding that its positive economic impact would soon be visible. He claimed Pakistan’s diplomacy had outpaced India in the region.
During the ceremony, he also awarded a shield and cash prize to Muhammad Shafi for securing a top position in the Larkana Secondary Education Board.
