Islamabad, December 25, 2025:
The National Assembly Secretariat has announced a public holiday on December 26, 2025 (Friday), in accordance with a notification issued by the Cabinet Division. A spokesperson confirmed that the office order was issued following formal approval by the Speaker of the National Assembly.
According to the announcement, all departments of the National Assembly Secretariat will remain closed on the designated date. As a result, meetings of standing committees and all official activities scheduled for the day have been postponed.
The spokesperson stated that the deferred meetings and official business would be rescheduled according to revised dates, which will be communicated through official channels. Relevant offices and committee members have been advised to stay updated with future notifications to avoid inconvenience.
The National Assembly Secretariat emphasized that normal operations will resume following the holiday, and all pending matters will be addressed as per the updated schedule.
