Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta and surrounding areas on Tuesday, causing brief panic among residents. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 2.9 on the Richter scale.
Officials said the epicenter was located around 40 kilometers north of Quetta. The tremors lasted only a few seconds but prompted some citizens to come out of their homes as a precaution.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties or property damage were reported. Local administration and disaster management teams remained on alert to handle any emergency situation.
Experts noted that Quetta lies in a seismically active zone, making minor tremors a recurring phenomenon. Citizens were advised to remain calm and follow safety guidelines in case of future earthquakes.
