Lahore, January 23: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Azma Bokhari, has urged citizens planning to travel to Murree to postpone their trips in view of the prevailing situation. She said that a very large number of tourists are already present in Murree and all hotels are completely booked.

Azma Bokhari stated that heavy snowfall is continuing in Murree, while the number of vehicles entering the city has exceeded its capacity, resulting in severe pressure on traffic flow and civic facilities. She added that there is no further room for the entry of additional vehicles into Murree.

The Provincial Minister made it clear that hotels in Murree also have no remaining capacity to accommodate more tourists. Therefore, she appealed to citizens to keep their own safety and the safety of others in mind and avoid traveling to Murree at this time.

Azma Bokhari emphasized that the safety of tourists already present in Murree is the Punjab Government’s foremost priority, and all relevant departments are on high alert. However, she said that avoiding unnecessary travel is the most prudent decision. She urged citizens to act responsibly and refrain from visiting Murree until the situation returns to normal.
