Quetta:
A member of the Balochistan Assembly, Ravi Kumar Pahuja, on Friday condemned a recent terrorist attack in Quetta, calling it a “cowardly act” and a direct assault on humanity and peace.
In a statement, Pahuja said the killing of security personnel in the attack had plunged the nation into grief. He paid tribute to the fallen officers and expressed condolences to their families, stating that the country stood united with them in this difficult time.
The lawmaker praised the police, Frontier Corps and Pakistan Army for what he described as a swift and courageous response that prevented further damage. He said the security forces demonstrated professionalism and bravery in thwarting the attackers’ objectives.
Pahuja stressed that such attacks could not weaken national morale, adding that the people of Balochistan remained united and resolute against terrorism. He reaffirmed commitment to continued action against militant elements and said every possible step would be taken to restore peace and stability in the province.
“The sacrifices of our security forces are a source of pride,” he said, emphasizing that terrorist groups would not be allowed to succeed.
