Former Supreme Court Bar Association president Amanullah Kanrani has strongly criticized the recent speech of Mahmood Khan Achakzai in the National Assembly, calling it misleading and historically inaccurate. In a statement issued in Quetta, Kanrani said the speech reflected political bias and an attempt to misrepresent Baloch history for narrow political gain. He stated that parliamentary representation achieved through numerical weakness does not grant authority to speak on behalf of diverse opposition voices or entire nations. Kanrani emphasized that the Baloch nation has never accepted subjugation and has consistently resisted injustice, protecting its land, coastline, and resources for centuries. Referring to historical sacrifices, he said the Baloch struggle spans generations and cannot be reduced to selective narratives. He warned against projecting personal political views as collective truths and urged national leaders to adopt responsible discourse. Kanrani stressed that distorted statements in parliament harm national unity and deepen mistrust, adding that historical facts must be addressed with honesty and academic integrity.
