Quetta, February 13, 2026: Provincial Minister for Communications and Works, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, has issued stern directives to ensure the timely completion of development projects, warning that negligence or absenteeism by field officers will result in strict disciplinary measures.
Highlighting reports of officers’ absence from duty, Khosa instructed that all ongoing development schemes be closely supervised to guarantee efficient execution and prompt delivery of services to the public. He stressed that delays caused by laxity directly affect citizens and are unacceptable.
The minister called for a rigorous monitoring mechanism, including surprise inspections, to hold officers accountable and ensure their active presence at work sites. He emphasized that the construction and repair of roads, timely completion of housing schemes, and provision of essential public services remain top priorities of the government.
Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa directed all officials to maintain strict attendance, continuously monitor project progress, and submit detailed reports within set timelines. District administrations were tasked with assessing field performance regularly and reporting any lapses immediately to higher authorities.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to transparent governance, the minister assured that all necessary measures would be taken to remove obstacles and ensure that development projects are delivered on schedule for the welfare of citizens.
