Sibi District Education Committee Charts Course for Maximum Enrollment, Strengthens Teacher Recruitment and Awareness Initiatives

Sibi, Feb 26: A District Education Committee meeting was convened in Sibi under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Major (R) Ilyas Kibzai to review the performance of schools, teacher attendance, student enrollment, and ongoing development projects across the district.

The session was attended by Assistant Commissioners UT Inzamam Qasim and Dr. Hamza Lashari, District Education Officer Abdul Sattar Langov, District Coordinator RTMS Mirza Athar Baig, Deputy District Education Officers (Male Tariq Almas and Female), along with other senior officials.

During the briefing, District Education Officer Abdul Sattar Langov presented updates on school performance, teacher attendance, progress on ongoing development initiatives, and preparations for the upcoming academic year.

Addressing the committee, DC Ilyas Kibzai instructed that Phase Four of teacher recruitment be expedited. He emphasized implementing a comprehensive strategy to boost student enrollment at the start of the new academic session, including awareness walks, seminars, and the use of banners and flex boards to encourage parents to register their children in government schools.

Officials also shared plans for a press conference on March 2 to outline the district’s future educational roadmap. Awareness campaigns and seminars will be conducted at both district and tehsil levels. Schools across Sibi are participating actively in the tree plantation drive, and free textbooks have been distributed, with ongoing efforts to ensure supplies reach all institutions.

The committee approved deductions from salaries of absentee teachers and staff to reinforce accountability and attendance.

Concluding the meeting, DC Kibzai stressed that maximizing student enrollment, promoting awareness campaigns, and engaging in tree plantation initiatives are vital steps toward improving the overall educational environment in Sibi.
