Chaman:
Amid growing tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the District Headquarters Hospital Chaman came under close administrative scrutiny as Additional Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Fida Baloch, carried out an unannounced late-night visit to review healthcare arrangements and emergency preparedness.
During the inspection, ADC Fida Baloch examined multiple sections of the hospital, including the emergency unit, medical and pediatric wards, and other essential departments. He assessed staff attendance and received a comprehensive briefing regarding patient care, availability of medicines, and the operational condition of medical equipment and machinery.
Stressing the necessity of prompt and effective treatment, the Additional Deputy Commissioner directed hospital authorities to maintain uninterrupted and quality medical services for all patients. He cautioned that any lapse in the provision of care would not be tolerated and instructed the administration to further strengthen emergency response mechanisms while ensuring timely replenishment of critical medicines.
In response to heightened security concerns near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, District Health Officer Chaman, Dr. Naveed Badini, issued a formal notification placing the hospital on full emergency alert. Doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff have been directed to remain on standby, while additional arrangements have been made to secure sufficient stocks of essential medicines and blood supplies for emergency cases.
Reaffirming the district administration’s resolve, ADC Fida Baloch stated that efforts to improve public healthcare services will continue, adding that such inspections will be conducted regularly to enhance the efficiency and performance of government hospitals.
