Quetta:
In a focused effort to support underprivileged households during the holy month of Ramadan, the Quetta district administration has distributed relief packages to 200 families under the special initiative launched by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.
Assistant Commissioner (City), Captain (R) Hamza Anjum, personally oversaw the distribution in the Saddar Division, ensuring that widows, orphans, and low-income families received essential food items. Each package contained flour, rice, pulses, ghee, sugar, and other basic necessities to assist households throughout the month.
AC Hamza Anjum emphasized that the relief operations were conducted with full transparency, fairness, and respect for the dignity of beneficiaries. Verification at the local level was rigorously applied to ensure aid reached genuinely needy families.
The administration confirmed that the distribution would continue in subsequent phases, extending support to more families in need. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial strain of rising food prices and provide practical assistance to vulnerable households during Ramadan.
Local residents welcomed the initiative, expressing appreciation for the Balochistan government and the Quetta administration, and highlighted the importance of such programs in delivering meaningful relief to disadvantaged communities during the holy month.
