Islamabad Police Arrest Two Robbers in Crackdown on Organized Crime

Islamabad, March 9: Islamabad Police have arrested two members of an organized robbery gang during a major crackdown against criminal groups operating in the capital.
According to the police spokesperson, the arrests were made by Bani Gala Police Station during an operation targeting suspects involved in multiple street robbery incidents. The suspects were allegedly involved in snatching motorcycles, cash and other valuables from citizens at gunpoint in different areas.
Police recovered stolen motorcycles worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, cash and several mobile phones from the possession of the arrested suspects. Weapons and ammunition used in the robberies were also seized during the operation.
Investigators said the suspects confessed to committing several robbery incidents in the city. Cases have been registered and further investigation is under way to trace additional accomplices.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said Islamabad Police would continue strict action against organized and active criminal gangs. He emphasized that protecting citizens and their property remains the top priority of the police.
The DIG added that all legal requirements would be fulfilled to ensure the suspects receive appropriate punishment under the law.
