Islamabad Police Deploy Over 1,000 Officers for Eid Shopping Security

Islamabad, March 9: Islamabad Police have deployed more than 1,000 officers and personnel across markets and commercial centers to ensure security during the Eid shopping season.
According to a police spokesperson, additional security measures have been implemented in major shopping areas as the number of visitors increases ahead of Eid. Police patrols have been intensified, including foot patrols and Dolphin Force monitoring to maintain law and order.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said special arrangements have also been made to ensure a safe environment for women shoppers. Female police officers have been deployed in markets to assist and protect women during shopping hours.
Traffic police officers are also stationed on major roads and near busy markets to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent congestion during peak shopping times.
Authorities said Safe City surveillance cameras are continuously monitoring commercial areas to detect suspicious activities and assist field officers in maintaining security.
The DIG reiterated that Islamabad Police remain fully committed to providing a safe environment for citizens during Eid shopping and urged people to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
