QUETTA: March 24, 2026: Train services connecting Quetta with other parts of the country have been reinstated following a one-day suspension, providing much-needed relief to passengers. Railway officials confirmed that the Jaffer Express departed from Quetta on schedule for Peshawar, while the train arriving from Peshawar is also expected to reach Quetta later today.
The restoration of services has eased difficulties for travelers who had been stranded at the station due to the earlier suspension or were compelled to seek alternative means of transportation.
Despite this development, the Bolan Mail bound for Karachi and the Chaman Passenger train continue to remain suspended. Railway authorities attributed the suspension of these services to a notably low passenger turnout, stating that operations will resume once demand improves.
Meanwhile, passengers intending to travel to Karachi and Chaman are currently relying on other available transport options in the absence of these train services.
