MUSAKHEL, April 5: Police conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Musakhel, resulting in the destruction of an opium crop cultivated in a remote mountainous area.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team was constituted on the instructions of SP Musakhel Kaleemullah Kakar. Following the information, SHO Tangi Police Station Sarbaz Khan Jaffar, along with his team, carried out a raid in Moza Khaji and destroyed the entire opium cultivation found at the foothills.
Since the crop was grown in an isolated location and the cultivators could not be identified, no arrests were made during the operation.
The SHO issued a strict warning to local residents, stating that heavy penalties and legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in the cultivation of narcotics. He urged the public to abide by the law and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and order.
Residents were also encouraged to report any information regarding drug cultivation, trafficking, or suspicious activities through confidential channels, with assurances that informants’ identities would be kept strictly protected.
Local community members appreciated the police action and expressed their willingness to support law enforcement efforts in curbing narcotics and ensuring stability in the region.
