On the 78th anniversary of India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir, the District Administration Chaman organized a grand protest rally under the leadership of Tehsildar Ahmed Khan to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The rally began at the DC Complex, traversed major city roads, and concluded at the DC Office.

A large turnout of religious scholars, tribal and political elders, government officials, employees, students, and civil society representatives carried banners and placards emblazoned with slogans such as “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Down with India.” Anti-India chants reverberated throughout the rally, highlighting public condemnation of Indian occupation and support for Kashmiri self-determination.

Addressing the participants, Tehsildar Ahmed Khan and other speakers denounced Indian atrocities, reaffirming that Pakistan has stood shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiris since day one. They stressed that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic, moral, and political support until Kashmir attains freedom.

Tehsildar Ahmed Khan remarked that October 27, 1947, remains a dark day in history when Indian forces illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, initiating decades of oppression. He highlighted that for 78 years, Kashmiris have displayed unmatched courage and resilience in their struggle for freedom despite enduring Indian state terrorism.

He urged the international community and human rights organizations to take concrete action in accordance with United Nations resolutions to ensure the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. “No matter how long the night of oppression endures, the dawn of freedom and truth will rise for Kashmir,” he added.
