Jacobabad (Independent Report) – A Hindu girl from Jacobabad, Heer Rani, reportedly married a youth from Quetta, Naseebullah Pathan, in Karachi of her own choice. Heer Rani told the media that the marriage was conducted with her consent, and she has adopted the name Fatima.
However, her family and the local Hindu Panchayat president, Lal Chand Setlani, claimed she was abducted and noted that she is 17 years old. They alleged that cash and gold were taken along during the incident. Lawyer Ghulam Hussain stated that under the law concerning minors, the marriage is considered illegal, and a legal petition has been filed in court.
