Sibi DC Orders Tight Security Oversight and Swift Completion of Development Projects

Sibi, February 13, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Major (R) Ilyas Kakar, emphasized enhanced security measures and diligent monitoring of public and student activities, urging parents to remain vigilant to prevent any involvement in suspicious or unlawful actions.
Chairing a joint session of the District Coordination Committee and District Intelligence Coordination Committee, DC Kakar was joined by Wing Commander Colonel Shahryar, SSP Shahnawaz Chachar, Assistant Commissioners Mansoor Ali Shah (Sibi) and Mir Bahadur Khan Bangulzai (Bakhtiarabad), Chairman Municipal Committee Sardar Muhammad Khan Khajjak, departmental heads, and law enforcement officials.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed government offices to monitor staff performance closely and directed the Education Department to ensure the national anthem is recited and flag hoisting is carried out properly. Teachers were advised to focus on students’ academic and moral development while keeping a watchful eye on their activities in light of current security concerns. The committee also reviewed district administration matters, development initiatives, and law and order, issuing necessary instructions to relevant authorities.
DC Ilyas Kakar reported that Phase One of the BSDI project has been successfully completed, with Phase Two contracts awarded to the lowest bidders following transparent tendering. Formal inaugurations for these projects are scheduled for next week, covering all areas of the district.
He issued strict directives to Executive Engineers and SDOs of B&R, PHE, Local Government, and UPN&D departments to commence work immediately, warning that any contractor failing to meet deadlines or delivering substandard results would be blacklisted and subjected to FIR registration. All projects are mandated to be completed by Eid-ul-Fitr.
