GILGIT, March 29: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam on Sunday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the development and stability of Gilgit-Baltistan.
During meetings with delegations from مختلف مکاتب فکر, he stressed the importance of maintaining peace, interfaith harmony, and collective efforts for regional progress. He highlighted that the federal government is providing resources on a priority basis to support development initiatives.
The minister noted that a 100-megawatt solar power project has been approved, along with the provision of 58-megawatt solar panels to residents and businesses to address energy shortages. He said efforts are underway to reduce load-shedding and improve public welfare through targeted policies.
Delegations assured full cooperation for peace and called for impartial accountability. The minister reiterated that strict action would be taken against elements spreading unrest.
