Green Karachi 5K Run 2025 Nears Final Preparations
KARACHI: 18-02: The eagerly awaited Green Karachi 5K Run 2025 is now in the final stages of preparation. The prestigious event is set to take place on February 23, 2025, at Creek Park, Phase VIII, DHA, and aims to raise awareness about pressing environmental concerns, advocate for tree plantation, and foster a culture of sustainability and green living within the city.
With the event fast approaching, top-tier runners, including international athletes, have confirmed their participation, and over 500 registration forms have been submitted through both social media and Google forms, underscoring the widespread support for this initiative.
Rais Khan, CEO of RK Sports Management, expressed his commitment to a cleaner, greener Karachi. “The Green Karachi 5K Run 2025 is not merely a race; it is a monumental step toward transforming Karachi into a healthier, more sustainable urban environment. It represents the beginning of a movement towards a brighter, greener tomorrow,” said Rais Khan. The event is envisioned as a transformative experience, motivating the residents of Karachi to unite and take action for the city’s future.
Atif Iqbal, Chairman of RK Sports Management, the organizing body behind this remarkable event, stressed the urgency of environmental stewardship. “The responsibility of environmental conservation rests upon all of us. It is imperative that we clean our surroundings, promote afforestation, and instill a culture of sustainability. Through this run, we hope to spread this vital message far and wide,” Iqbal stated. He also expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming support shown across various social media platforms and announced that he will attend as the Chief Guest, personally distributing shields to honored guests and race victors.
Emphasizing the global standard of the event, Rais Khan further noted, “The Green Karachi 5K Run 2025 will offer all the facilities expected of an international race. Participants will be provided with wristbands, refreshments, and water bottles to ensure they remain energized and motivated throughout the course.”
