Adopting alternative sources of energy need of hour: CM directs QESCO Chief to find out permanent solution to issue of electricity facing people

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed to the Chief Executive Officer of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to find out permanent solution to the issues of electricity being faced by general public in the province.
He particularly directed to the QESCO CEO to resolve the issues of electricity including its shortage in the hot areas of Balochistan well before advent of the summer season.

He stressed that the adoption of alternative sources of energy is need of the hour and as such adding he directed to strictly monitor the projects of electricity supply and solar energy in the province.
The Chief Minister was speaking to the CEO of QESCO, Syed Yousaf Shah who called on him here at the CM’s secretariat on Monday.
During the course of meeting, the QESCO chief briefed Chief Minister about the steps being taken for resolving the issues of electricity.
The matters about supply of electricity in remote areas of the province were also discussed. Moreover, there was also discussion on the projects of transfer of agricultural tube wells on the solar energy in Balochistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister directed to take concrete measures for improving electricity supply in the province.
He also directed to work on the comprehensive and vibrant strategy to prevent the issue of electricity shortage and save the consumers from electricity related hardships.
The Chief Minister directed to expedite work on the electricity schemes proposed by the members of provincial assembly.
In addition to this, the interrupted supply of power should be ensured in the areas where payment of electricity bills is being ensured fully, he maintained.
He said that the emergent measures are necessary for improving electricity facility in remote areas of the province.
