GoB to provide free ration to 250,000 families in Ramadanul Mubarak, announces Chief Secretary
QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has decided to provide free ration to 250,000 families during the holy month of Ramadanul Mubarak.
The Chief Secretary announced this while chairing the meeting regarding establishment of sasta bazaars and price control in Ramadanul Mubarak here on Thursday.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Secretary urged the traders to refrain from the unfair profiteering and hoarding in the holy month. He also asked them to ensure sale of edibles at the official price list so that general public may benefit from the inexpensive goods.
He warned that stern action would be taken against those involved in the profiteering. The people should also not purchase the goods above the official prices and inform the administration about those fleecing and involved in the hoarding.
Meanwhile, it was decided to give maximum relief to the common men in Ramadanul Mubarak.
The meeting also discussed about provision of relief to the people besides determining the responsibilities of administrative officers and fixing rates of the edibles.
The Chief Secretary directed to the administration to mobilize all available resources to the public during the holy month. He also directed to review the stock of daily used items, official price lists and arrangements about the Ramadan bazaars.
